This whimsical show is a whirlwind of sounds. Katie Glasgow bringing her raw expressive indie-pop music will have you clenching your heart with her sweet dreamy melodies. Ugly Mutts are a must-see grunge rock band that will absolutely rile you up and have you punching the air with their tunes. And Her Dark Heaven is quite the incredible mix of spoken word, heavy metal, and indie rock with the most spectacular stage presence that will have you hypnotized throughout the night.

If Venus Twins aren’t your favourite punk twins in the Brooklyn scene, let me take you by the hand and introduce you to these legends in the making. With their sets leading to broken noses and sprained ankles, you better be prepared for some bruising in the pit. Balancing out the twins’ chaotic energy, Arverne bring a charming indie rock energy to the stage. Jade Tourniquet are nyc punk rock n’ rollers you should keep your eyes out for with their intense sound that will keep you headbanging all night. Dinoboy bring an emotional blend of indie rock accentuated by punctual bass lines and Dalton’s raspy vocals.

Y’all already know my love and respect for some of these bands. This bill is doused in various rock and punk tunes that I cannot wait to experience live. Joudy are some of my favourites with their trippy ballad-like grunge rock sound. Indigo Fuzz are a rock trio with hints of blues rock and psychedelic tones absolutely shredding the New York scene right now. Whaat have my heart with their deep hitting, emotionally raw rock melodies. And Pons always know how to put on a rowdy set with their duo drum set-up and intense punk rock songs.

Montreal-based quartet Elephant Stone marry aggravated 60’s psychedelia fused by traditional Indian instrumentals – think The Black Angels and Stone Roses meet The Doors and Tinariwen. Nicknamed “moccasin-gaze”(?) Zoon enters with heartfelt and dreamy shoegaze while NY-based rock outfit, Activity, ties the show together with a cathartic, honest, and ominous bow.

New Colossus has partnered up with 18th Ward Brewing and together they’ve been blessing us with free shows throughout the summer highlighting young, up-and-coming talent. This Sunday we’re getting an exciting mix of varying rock sounds - Shred Flintstones and Mary Shelley bringing in the punk-rock vibes, Marinara and War Violet with a touch of indie, and Nevva’s coming through with a hint of grunge-rock.

Music is from 12pm - 5pm, come hang!

Giddy up, partner! Orville Peck is here to transport you across a dusty sunset desert on horseback. The fringe-masked Mr.Peck is a conglomerate of rugged vocals and rustic shoegaze rock coated in a twinkling western finesse. And pack your dancin’ shoes for Teddy and the Rough Riders! All the way from Nashville, this quartet delivers old-fashioned honky tonk ‘n rock ‘n roll with an electrifying blues twist.

This is quite the satisfying combination of music. The Silk War bring a beautiful mix of soulful solitude and dark lyricism with the most iconic fashion looks on stage, TVOD are obnoxiously loud and fun and will keep everyone moving to their beat, S.C.A.B. bring a delightful retro indie-rock feel with their dreamy guitar-driven songs, and everyone’s favourite bummer boy Kahiem making listeners “dance and depressed” (KR) to top things off.

The sun, the moon, the stars, heaven – this lineup is somewhere in between all of that. City of the Sun brings an eclectic mix of instrumental heatwaves that transport you to a sun-soaked beach in Barcelona where everyone on the beach is your best friend and somehow knows how to dance flamenco. And Sylvan, dear Sylvan Paul transports you to a mystic universe of psychedelic haze and raw rock. Together, these performances are electric (or acoustic?). Wind down, buckle up, and get ready to rock (or roll).

The experiential music of City of the Sun is the sound you didn’t know you were missing. New York City’s powerhouse group flip the perception of instrumental music, attracting a whole new generation to the genre.

Formed in 2011, City of the Sun features guitarist John Pita, and percussionist Zach Para. The band’s sound has an array of influences including indie rock, American folk, flamenco, and blues; it’s been called worldly, cinematic, a mix between Rodrigo y Gabriela and Explosions in the Sky.
